Terms & Conditions

Your Safety Is Paramount
Please Read Carefully

About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions cover the use of this website and participation in Forest Bathing / Introduction to Mindfulness in Nature sessions (“the Sessions) provided by Mindful Meanders (“we”, “us”, “our”).  By using this website and/or booking a Session, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Nature of the Sessions

The Sessions are gentle guided experiences in nature, designed to introduce mindfulness practices and invite connection with the natural environment.

The Sessions are not therapy, counselling, psychotherapy or medical treatment.

Health and Wellbeing

Forest Bathing / Mindfulness in Nature is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological or therapeutic care.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for your own physical and mental wellbeing during and after the Session.

  • You should seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional prior to booking a Session if you have any medical, mental health, mobility or other conditions that may affect your ability to participate safely.

  • You will inform us at least 24 hours in advance of a Session of any relevant conditions, injuries, allergies or accessibility needs

Pregnancy

If you are in the first trimester of pregnancy, we recommend that you wait to join one of our Sessions. If you would like to attend during this time, please provide written confirmation from your qualified healthcare professional that they are happy for you to take part.

Assumption of Risk – Outdoor Environment

The Sessions take place in natural outdoor settings, which may carry inherent risks.

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Uneven ground, tree roots, mud, rocks or slopes

  • Weather conditions such as rain, wind, cold or heat

  • Insects, animals, plants and natural allergens

By participating, you acknowledge that you understand and voluntarily accept these risks and agree to take part at your own responsibility.

Weather

There are additional benefits of partaking in a Session in wet weather and often the tree canopy protects participants from inclement weather.

  • We run Sessions in all weather conditions with the exception of high winds, lightning, or other extreme weather where it would not be possible to keep participants comfortable and/or safe.

  • If we do need to cancel a Session due to the weather, we aim to give you as much advance notice as possible and rebook the session on an alternative day.

Clothing and Equipment

Please note you may get cold even in the summer!

  • It is recommended that you wear long trousers and tops with sleeves, this is for your comfort and protection from potential bites, stings and scratches. Walking shoes or similar with good grip and ankle support, ideally waterproof are advised.

  • Because our time in nature is slow and spacious, with regular pauses, you may feel cooler than expected. Extra layers of clothing and a warm coat are encouraged.

  • Please also bring water and sun protection if required, and any food or medications you may need.

  • There will be a guided relaxation so also bring a waterproof rug (a large bin bag will do) or a small foldable chair if being on the ground is not suitable for you.

Our guides reserve the right to refuse participation in the session if you are not wearing appropriate clothing. This is for your own safety.

Minors

Our Session are currently for adults 18+. However we plan to run Sessions for younger groups/families from time to time, see our website for details.

Refund Policy

Please note that we only refund events no later than 7 days prior to the start of the event. If you cancel more than 7 days before the event then you will be refunded in full, less the Eventbrite booking fee. No refunds will be issued in case of non-attendance. If we need to cancel the event for any reason you will be offered an alternative date or, if a suitable date cannot be arranged, a full refund will be given.
